The latest edition of TRUE SHIT is truly shitty. I was telling a coworker about fecal transplants being used to treat illnesses. He said this was bullshit until I pulled it up on Google. Guess what. It is TRUE SHIT.
A fecal transplant is where healthy shit from a donor is put up the asshole of an unhealthy recipient suffering from colitis. The treatment relies on bacteriotherapy where benign bacteria are introduced into the colon to help eradicate malignant bacteria. The shit is usually administered through a prepared enema. Is it effective? Tests have showed promising results, but it is considered purely a last ditch effort after antibiotics have failed. But if you have ever tried Activia, you know how effective bacteriotherapy can be.
