John Higgins wins world title number 4.

John Higgins has won World title number 4 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield after defeating 21 year old Bristolian, Judd Trump, 18-15

The lead changed hands a number of times over the two days, but ultimately the Scot prevailed.  After losing his father to cancer in February and being cleared of frame-fixing allegations in 2010, Higgins has proved what a colossus of sport he is. However, let's not forget Judd Trump who has wowed the crowds all fortnight on his way to the final.  There's no doubt a star has been born.

For full reaction to John Higgins' win at the BetFred World Championship Snooker tune in to the Tuesday night Sports Show at 7pm on 98.7FM and online via this blog and www.radiocardiff.org.
