The Problem With Rick Santorum

The idea is that the state doesn't have rights to limit individuals' wants and passions. I disagree with that. I think we absolutely have rights because there are consequences to letting people live out whatever wants or passions they desire.

RICK SANTORUM

Rick Santorum is the darling of Christian conservatives at the moment in the GOP run for the White House. With Bachmann out and Rick Perry certain to follow, Santorum's support can only build and grow. Romney's Mormon problem can only help Santorum further. It is a real shame because Rick Santorum is one fucked up individual.

Santorum is not unique in being a Christian, but he is unique in believing the state should play a larger role in promoting and forcing Judeo-Christian values down other people's throats. He even goes so far as to decry the "pursuit of happiness" which is a cornerstone of this nation's tradition of liberty. Of course, Santorum is not alone in this and neither are Christian conservatives. Government abounds with busybodies seeking to force their values and choices on the rest of us whether it is birth control, gun control, or keeping you from enjoying a nice cheeseburger.

The problem isn't with the values necessarily. If you believe in being a family man, being faithful to your wife, and living up to the Christian ideal, more power to you. It is your life, and you can do as you like with it. And if your name happens to be Tim Tebow, your life can serve as a shining example for the rest of us. I may disagree, but that is as far as I will go with it.

The problem with values is when they are wedded to force. This is where I have problems with what people espouse. It's not the values but the aggression. I have even had disagreements with fellow atheists over this topic as many of them are no different than fundies who hijack school boards to push the Bible in the schools. I am about freedom, and this means the freedom to choose what you wish to believe, how you want to live, and whatever path to happiness you decide to pursue.

Rick Santorum despises freedom, and he makes no denials about that. For Santorum, freedom is being allowed to live by what the Bible says. That's it. This is how seriously fucked up this guy is. He even disagrees with calling it the "War on Terror" because he really believes that it is a war on Islam. In short, Santorum is the Christian version of the Taliban. For him, there is no question about it. Christian values should be forced upon people. In this respect, he is no different than Osama bin Laden.

It is quite obvious that the homosexual community hates Santorum's guts. What Rick doesn't get is that a lot of other people who aren't gay also despise him. As a libertarian, I despise him. Santorum reciprocates with outright disdain and expressions of disgust for Ron Paul. And what is it about Paul that disgusts Santorum? This is obvious. Ron Paul believes in freedom and has no desire to kill innocent Muslims. Ron Paul is also a Christian. That is the ironic thing.

For me, it doesn't matter what your beliefs are. I am against you the moment you decide the government needs to force it on others. This is aggression, and I believe in the principle of non-aggression. Live and let live. I have yet to meet a homosexual who wanted to convert me to the gay lifestyle. I have meet many Christians who have wanted to convert me. I even have had them threaten me. They can bring it because I will hurt, wound, and kill anyone who doesn't have the sense to not fuck with me. I will also enjoy it and feel no guilt for it either.

Rick Santorum is exactly what his Google problem describes him as. He is fecal matter. He is a vile piece of shit who can't mind his own business. And he is a lousy fucking Christian. I also suspect that he is a closeted homosexual, but that's just my personal opinion. It is my sincere wish that he not ever get the GOP nomination for President and that he suffer ignominy and disgrace until the end of his days. I hate this motherfucker.
