24kg PR, jogging and ice studs

Monday
Jogging: 5 kms
Slow tempo, as I did not want to breath too heavy in the cold weather. Some stretches were on snow which was soft, nice, but tiring.

Tuesday
LC 2x20kg: 5,3
LC 2x24kg: 3, 57 /10min (PR)

Clean 2x30kg: 10reps
Wrist roller: 16 kg some ups and downs :-)

Wanted another max test with 24kgs as I lost count last week. I went for 5 to 6 reps per minute. It became 57reps in total. At the 5 minute mark I was at 28reps. Quite tired afterwards; not dying, but didn't feel like I had more reps in me either. 56reps at a competition is my goal with 24s. I find it interesting that my current training approach still permits me to increase my reps with 24s.

Winter jogging
In Gothenburg the streets often gets quite icy during winter time. As I want to keep my light jogging routine (in about once a week), I got some ice studs (dubbar) that you just screw into the sole of your ordinary jogging shoes. The sole should be no less than one centimeter thick.

Very easy to apply, and according to advertisement, you just unscrew the studs at spring time. So far, I have only taken one walk and one run in them. I thought they should fall out of the sole. However, the studs still stick fine. It has not go really icy yet but they give a good grip at the ice spots I have tried so far. No problems to run on asphalt either, but walk carefully at smooth stone surfaces such as in the stair case.
