[SOC]

Christ, I don't even know where to begin with this shit. Nothing is coming out of my brain because I really need to piss. I am bad about neglecting essential bodily functions while at the computer because my brain is locked in on what I am reading or writing. So, I'm going to take a piss now and return. Don't go anywhere.

Still here? Good. Where was I? Actually, I wasn't anywhere was I? I will see if I can address some requests.

The first request I recall getting is to write more about the misogyny thing and the love is bullshit theme. There's really nothing more I can add to that. I think people want me to give them an answer to that dilemma, but I can't. You are simply going to fall in love and then regret it. Your heart is going to get mashed up by some heartless bitch who just wants you to pay her bills. I can't fix this. I am with Schopenhauer on this. Love does not serve your happiness. Of course, I don't think Schopenhauer believed in happiness at all which is where I disagree with the great pessimist. I believe in happiness.

The greatest love is friendship. The great couples like Newman and Woodward were essentially great friendships. If you can find a woman you can be friends with, this will be the relationship that lasts. That is the one lesson I have learned from all of it. This is what companionship is. The reason it is so impossible is that most women are incapable of being friends. This is why I debase them now. I simply lower my expectations of them so low that they no longer disappoint me. Women have two options with me now. Put out and/or get out. If you want more, try being more.

The other request I get is to write more about minimalism. The problem is that there is only so much you can write on that subject without being repetitive. The book I am working on is a definitive book on minimalism than I am striving to make the best book you ever read on the subject. I may fail in this lofty aim, but I will try. But I understand why people are keen on the subject because it is part of the larger subject of living a disciplined life. Essentially, minimalism is about limiting choices which means a negation of desires. While other writers on the subject tell you to downsize and declutter with a few preachy points about materialism and sustainability, I'm more about the philosophy of minimalism. Minimalism is a life strategy. All strategies have their strengths but also their weaknesses. Minimalism is no different.

The only thing I can tell you is to wait for the book. It will be called The M List, and it fully covers the bottom part of the iceberg. I am really enjoying writing the thing, and I haven't gotten to any sticking points like with my other work. Sticking points are where you are writing a book on a subject, but you are stuck with a problem. The problem must be resolved for the reader, but you can't write your way out of it. You have to think on it. This may take five minutes or five years. But unlike software, you can't ship with these problems unsolved hoping to resolve them in later editions.

I have no sticking points with minimalism. The downside of the strategy is austerity. It's like using a Mac and wanting a feature that is on Windows. The fact is that hardly anyone has the opposite problem. This is because most Mac users are familiar with Windows because of their work and use PCs on the job. Then, they switch to the better machine at home for their personal use. PC users never use the Mac and never know what they are missing.

I am hungry now, so I am going to go eat. I want to get back to writing the book, so I am done here with this post. I might also take a fat dump later.
