Madden 13 Cover: We talk about the Madden Curse!

As they close in on picking the Madden 13 cover through a NCAA bracket contest as fans do the voting, I sit hoping that none of the players I like or have good rookie cards DO NOT make the cover.

I am not one for superstitions, but this one seems real! Just look at last seasons cover boy, Peyton Hillis. He had an incredible 2010 season then when he made the cover and 2011 season came around...he was injured and was not consistant at all. He had a very poor season. The Madden Curse as its called, goes way back to the first player put on the cover Eddie George back in the 2001 edition. Just look back at them all. Players like Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, Michael Vick, Vince Young...all had down or injury ridden seasons.

I have seen so many good players rookie cards drop in value because of the Madden Curse. So I always hope for the players that I dislike from a rival team to the Giants or dislike in general, how come T.O. never made it :),  to make the cover. I love the game of Madden and would love to see my favorite player on it, but to see him get hurt or have a down year, not worth it. I will buy the game either way. But I guess its a good thing  they don't bring John Madden back to the cover...you never know what could happen.

So please voters, I see my main man Victor Cruz has made it in the Sweet Sixteen. Please don't vote for him! Save your vote for any Redskins, Cowboys, Eagles and Jets :)
