USA Today reports that the NSA collected phone records for millions of Americans who have nothing to do with AQ terrorists. This comes as no surprise to me.
My right wing fascist friends will decry my libertarian "phobia" about this, but at what point do you admit that your government has gone too far in the invasion of your privacy? Right now, some NSA bureaucrat knows that you called a phone sex line at 11:37 p.m. on the night of April 3rd. He also has the number of your bookie, your pot dealer, and the guy who gave you that juicy insider stock tip which the SEC would most certainly like to indict you on.
The reason we need to limit this encroachment by government is to protect ourselves and our liberty from some future grievous abuse. Right now, these things may not seem like a big deal. It's not like they are listening to our phone conversations. But you better believe that they would like to.
Government is not to be trusted. George Bush is a lying cocksucker who needs to be impeached for his abuse of power. As it stands, he is every bit as bad as Nixon. The time has come for investigations. The time has come for this fuckhead to go down for his crimes.
I just find it amazing just how much this president has clusterfucked everything since 9/11. He keeps looking for terrorists here in America while the real terrorists (like Osama!!) still go unimpeded through the rest of the world.
