A Cross World comp took place this weekend. The Swedish team could not participate due to travel, injuries etc. The results from the other countries are piling up on the below link:

Note how many Cross World competitors Denmark has - 18!!! Good work Denmark! And Finland has a solid contribution, as always.
Check this link out the coming days, I know some US, German, Russian, French, and Australian results will be coming in.
My contribution: A humbling LCCJ experience
I did a virtual contribution to Cross World, today, Saturday. Long cycle clean and jerk with 2x20kg. Result was:
51 reps, 10 min
I had expected some more. As I am positive and optimistic by nature, I aimed for 68 reps (the WKC number for ranking with 20s). Thus, I started, still innocent, with 7rpm.
After a couple of minutes that tempo began feeling hard on the cardio. To make it short, it became 51reps.
It was the cardio that gave up. Bells felt quite light throughout, a little tiredness on thumb side of grip, neither shakey feeling in legs, nor lactic acid in triceps. But, lungs were bursting. Afterwards, when I had caught my breath, I felt fresh again.
Technically: the usual stuff, I do not hold some lockouts very long to show clear control; I also cheat with some 2nd dips (happen easier with these lighter bells?).
The filming, it was raining so I set the cam up under the roof where I train. One does not see my knees... I made sure to wear shorts leaving the knees visible though... the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
If I had been a little smarter, I could probably have went to 55/60 reps, i.e. if I had started with 6rpm. But I did not know, as I have not tried to max out in lccj with 20s in a very a long time (if ever).
Good news is that cardio is an easy fix problem. Also, I have the strength for 24kg lccj (PR=40 "home reps"). So now, just some lccj with 20kgs for cardio, and a few reps with heavier bells to keep strength, and I might improve.
Other nice thing is that this is my first 10min set in lccj ever. And hands felt fine as well.
I have had a lingering cold this week. It might have taken a few reps away, but it is not the issue - it is the cardio.
