Old Boots


These are my old Georgia Giant boots. I have had them for about ten years. The store I bought them from went out of business a long time ago. But the boots have lasted. I have done a lot of work and other activities in them. I have even worn them to church. But they needed to be retired. It is hard to part with a good pair of boots, but the soles are now falling off the bottom. These things are done.

I am grateful to the Georgia Boot company for not messing with a classic. Both boots are identical in make including the shoelaces which lasted as long the boots did. All I had to do was ask for the same size and start breaking the new ones in.

Here's why the old ones had to be replaced:


I was leaving chunks of rubber wherever I walked. Those old boots have been thoroughly used up. I will miss them.
