I read a story on Beckett the other day and here is the link:

The story kind of bothered me. I see why the owner is doing what he did. Its a tough sell to sell a card thats as big as that 36 cards and 8 ft long. Not to mention a $4,000 price tag he paid for it. But, I think it takes away from the card and devalues the cards that were once apart of it.

To me, I would have rather purchased the card whole. One big long piece of jersey, auto cardboard heaven. Like I said though, I see why he tried it. He couldn't get even one bid on it as a whole and even tried it twice. And when you make a purchase like that in plans of reselling it...you have to do your best to get your money back. I just wished it wasn't in terms of messing with a piece of cardboard history.
What are your thoughts about this? Would you have done the same? Would you buy your favorite team or favorite player from it?
