January 16th, 2013

Yesterday someone was wondering what the second and third place prizes were. Well the 2nd and 3rd place prizes will vary every month. This month they most likely are inserts and some if not most are numbered but we haven't completely decided on this yet. It could be something else. But 2nd and 3rd place prizes could be autos, jersey, inserts, team lots, rookie lots, and so on. We are trying to aim for a $10-$20 value range on those prizes. Obviously the big lot is the one to aim for but we are trying to make the 2nd and 3rd place prizes worth a run as well. Sports for those will vary too. Number of cards and what the prizes are per 2nd and 3rd place will differ by month also.

While we got your attention, we would also like to add that if at the end of 20 days there are any ties for any of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prizes...we will play on til their is a standout winner of all three spots. So if the next day someone is in first place without a tie they win and so on. Like we said, we want YOU to control your own destiny! We find it more fair that way than randomizing you off. Day 19 we will start to really challenge you which is why Day 18 is the LAST DAY any newbies can join.

Now onto today's contest,

Today there could be two or more winners. The person who gets the closest WITHOUT going over will get two points. The person who gets it right one will get three. Anyone who goes over or isn't the closest or exact gets one point.

How many rebounds will Kevin Durant get WITHOUT going over?

Lawson, Nuggets cruise by defenseless Mavs 115-93

Ty Lawson and the Denver Nuggets opened their season with a performance that sent a clear message to the rest of the NBA.

The reigning champions have quickly become a team everyone wants to play. There’s no telling which is worse right now, their offense or defense, their conditioning or chemistry, as they were drubbed for a second straight game, losing 115-93 to the Nuggets on Monday night.

Jason Kidd scored 12 points, Carter scored 11 and Rodrigue Beaubois scored 10. Aside from Nowitzki and Kidd, the other three starters (Marion, Brendan Haywood and West) scored a combined 11 points.
