Uddevalla Kettlebell Club, Eleikos, 11reps, and an unexpected find

Yesterday, I went up to Uddevalla and trained. One aim was to test a new max with the 28s in LC. It turned out only 11 reps (old PR is 15). Well, some days are like that. More important was to meet some of the people up there and see how the new gym localities are getting more inhabited.

I also had the possibillity to try out the new Eleiko-bells. They were very nice and with a solid feeling to them:

Training-wise we did some bar hangs and wrist-rolling as well.

Thomas' grandfather - who used to lift weights - made a drawing for this dip rack and Thomas' father welded it. One of the grandfather's best lifts is One Arm snatch with a +60kg barbell.
This one is best done for timed set.

One man's trash is another man's treasure
Saturday morning, on my way to the train station, I was to throw some kitchen garbage. In the garbage room someone had thrown away a barbell and some plates. I was in a hurry for my train, so it was with some panic I moved the iron up to the top floor where I live. The bar is of an older model with 28mm diameter (not 25) and 168cm long. I have no scale at home, but I guess the seven plates is ca 5kg a piece. No bad surprise at all :-).
