Matthew Elliott New Warriors Coach

The Warriors have announced that Matthew Elliott
will be their new head coach for the 2013 season.

The former Canberra and Panthers coach should
fit right in with the Warriors.

The Warriors now have someone who knows how to
coach the Aussie game.

I'm picking playoffs next season!!

Time will tell.

Warriors Lose

How sad, after making the playoffs last
season, the Warriors are now battling for
the wooden spoon.

Here's hoping next season will be better.

Time will tell.

Warriors Win!

For the first time in a long long time, there is a smell
in the air, a faint smell, a delightful smell, I haven't smelled
this smell for a long long time.

I smell PLAYOFFS!!!!!

Go the Warriors!!

TVNZ keeps it quiet

I guess it's because of who they are. I mean it's not
like it was a club rugby league player being drunk.
Now that would be big news.

The way the  NZ media behaves when reporting allege
crimes is different depending on the code the person plays.

This is a serious case,  Here's hoping the allege victim
will get justice and the truth will come out.

Benefit of the Doubt

Hey Aussies, the benefit of the doubt goes to the
attacking team, but since it was the New Zealand
Warriors, I guess you forget about that rule of
the game.

But you come to expect that from the NRL.

Shame.

Warriors Could Get 60 Thousand

That would be something. The biggest League crowd in
New Zealand history would be a heck of a way to start
a season.

A win would even be better.

Roll on the 2012 season.

Halberg's Sporting Moment Fix

Most people would agree this year the Halberg's got it
right.

There was a very sinister element to this year's Halbergs
though.

It was thru the fan voted, sporting moment of the year
award.

For some reason it was leaked by the NZRFU that
the Warriors were beating their rugby team for the
award so they went to the media, and the internet
was blasted with stories that the  All Blacks (New
Zealand's rugby team) might lose to the Warriors,
so the NZRFU wanted fans to vote for The All
Blacks.

No other sporting body did this, IMHO it was quite
sick for a sports body that is the most powerful in
New Zealand to resort to this tactic, and for them
to have the voting information on what sports
was winning the fan vote, well surly that is morally
wrong and could be called a fix.

I would like to know if other codes had this information
and why would the media print it?

Again another low blow by those involved with Rugby
Union at other sports in this country.

Shame.

If Zac Guildford was a Rugby League Player

TVNZ: Another blackeye for the sport
of Rugby League today as more thuggish
behavior from a code that has it's fair share
of ugly incidents. When will Rugby league
players stop abusing and assaulting people
and should the game be banned in some schools
so the code can finally learn its lesson.

Brendan Telfer: This is animal type behavior
it just doesn't belong, what parent would want
their kid to play that game, throw him in jail,
throw the lot in jail, he's an adult and there
should be no excuse for his behavior. His
contract must be torn up.

TV3: A terrible year for Rugby League has
just got worse, a year that saw its players
getting drunk, smashing up hotel rooms and
assaulting innocent members of the public, now has the
drunken lout Zac Guildford embarrassing
himself and his country and ruined a family's
wedding. Make no mistake its not a problem
with booze he has, it's a problem with acting human,
like all league players he is a disgrace.

NZHerald: Has Rugby league player Zac
Guilford finally killed off the sport of rugby league?
This repulsive, disgusting behavior is not acceptable
in this day and age and no excuse can be made, to
blame the booze is just another excuse from the
heads of Rugby League to shift the blame, and
the public shouldn't accept it anymore.

Warriors Lose NRL Grand Final

The Warriors have lost the NRL Grand Final. What
can one say after one of your favorite sporting teams
lose the grand final.

Missed tackles, giving away penalties, not reading
the game, poor kicking, poor choices, poor completion
rate, not playing well for the first 64 minutes, getting beaten by a
better team.

Still there were moments of brilliance.

The young players played with heart, and they
have shown they are a finals team, that can
play exciting football.

One day we will win a grand final.

Roll on next season.

Go the Warriors!!

Half Time Warriors GRRRRR!!!

Missed tackles, giving away penalties at the wrong time,
not reading the game, not really the game to be making
mistakes, I mean its the grand final.

Still they are trying their hearts out and its been a great
season.

It will be a miracle if we come back in the second
half.

Go The Warriors

One sleeping night to go until the Warriors grand final
game against Manly, here's hoping it's one sleeping
night until History.

I wonder if the players are as nervous as I am.

I cant stand the tension, please Manu don't drop the ball,
just catch and run, and Locke please do your magic.

This could be a great day for New Zealand sport, just
one thing left to say.

GO THE WARRIORS!!!!!!!

Darien Fenton Finally Does the Right thing

Labour MP, Darien Fenton has finally done the right thing.
She caused an outrage a week or so back, when
she she ripped into Sir Peter Leitch for supporting
New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key.

How anyone could rip into the Mad Butcher is beyond me,
his community work throughout his life,  his love
and passion for his family, friends and his sport is
something we should all admire.

Darien Fenton comments were pathetic and it
was the type of politics that don't belong in
the 21st, to rip into a private citizen is bad
form.

Was she genuine in her apology, probably not
it only came after the public outcry, but she
has said sorry, and hopefully other politicians
will learn from this.

Time will tell.

Warriors Will Win

The New Zealand Warriors will win the NRL grand final,
if it does four things.

They have to play Warrior style, against any other team,
I would say they would have to be more disciplined, but
that is Manly's game, so  they should revert to throwing
around a bit, but not in their own half.

They need to be coached good, Clearly has to make
changes quickly if a player is having an off day, he
seems to be loyal to the players on the field.

The stars have to shine, Manu and Locke have
to play like its their last ever game, and they
have to do the unexpected.

They need to be in the ears of the ref's and
linesman, Manly is a dirty team, and the Ref's
and linesmen are going to be bias against the
Warrior's because simply they are a New Zealand
team, the players need to show, that we wont
take that BS on the grand final stage.

If all this happens, then the Warriors will win the
grand final.

Fingers and Toes are crossed.

Show the Warriors Game

The Warriors have made the grand final, this
is a huge occasion for New Zealand sport, the
whole country is behind them, except the NZRFU.

You see we were told by the bosses of the other code,
that even if you don't like Rugby Union we should get
behind the rugby world cup, because it will be good
for the country and we should all support each
other.

They have now shown their true colors in their
actions of not allowing the Warriors Versus
manly NRL Rugby League grand final to
be shown in RWC fan zone because it's a
different sporting code.

Some may say, fair enough,  but since the
fanzone has been paid for by the TAXPAYER,
then they have no right, it's disgusting, it's wrong,
and it shows the NZRFU's true nature.

Lets hope a  fan zone is set up for the Warriors
because they deserve it.

WARRIORS MAKE THE GRAND FINAL

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The NewZealand Warriors have made the NRL Grand
Final. They will play and hopefully beat Manly for their
first NRL title.

Awesome team game, man of the match for me, Locke,
this is the best I have seen them play.

WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warriors

The Warriors have the game of their life's  tonight, when
they face the Melbourne Storm, the winner to go
through to the Grand Final against Manly.

You can go through the history of both teams, go through
the stats and hard data, ask the experts, ask the man
on the street, ask your dog or cat, but there is only
one way to figure out who is going to win.

You need to ask yourself the question, which Warriors
team will turn up, will it be the good Warriors or the
bad Warriors, will it be the good Manu or the bad
Manu, the good coaching of Clearly or the bad
coaching.

Forgot about what the Melbourne Storm are
going to do, they are  the supporting
cast, what happens in those 80 minutes
comes down to the New Zealand Warriors.

Lets hope we can see the signature smile from
Manu.

Time will tell.

Warriors beat Tigers

Warriors win, Warriors win, Warriors win.

Guess who won, thanks to a try with only two
minutes left from Mr Inu, the warriors have pulled
off the upset of the season, coming from 18-6 behind
to win 22-20.

The Warriors will now face the Storm for a place in the
Grand Final!!!

Can they do it? well if they played like they did last
night, of course they can.

You never know what Warriors side will turn up.

Lets hope it's the one that beat the Tigers.

Fingers are crossed.

Warriors to Face Broncos

In a match that will be watched by league fans around
the country, the Warriors will try and give Ivan Clearly
a nice going away present.

It's one thing to make the playoffs, but it's another to
progress further in them, and that has to be the goal
of the New Zealand Warriors.

As a sporting fan, I'm happy if my team makes the playoffs
but surly I should want more???

Hopefully the game against the Broncos will give me more, it's
not quite a sudden death game, we have a life if seventh and
eighth place team losses.

But can we win, well one word, Manu, yes it's all up to Manu,
big games depend on big name players. Have a look at the
Heat versus Mavericks NBA Finals series this year, it was
Lebron James versus Dirk Nowitzki and it was the big
German who came up trumps, we can only hope next week
it will be the big Warrior that will come up trumps.

Fingers are crossed.

Lance Hohaia fumbles again

Lance Hohaia has cost the Warriors another match, and maybe
a shot at the playoffs, why oh why does Clearly persist in making
him the fullback. Surly someone esle can take his play if Locke
can't play.

Warriors Will Never Win NRL

Bad coaching, Bad kicking, Bad playmaking, Bad Choices,
Bad clock mangement, Bad team.

Any other coach in any other proffesional sporting code
will be gone if they couldn't manage their team to hold a
lead like that.
